Principal Stuart Mengler and Senior Associate Ailyn Tydde acted as key legal advisers to Galaxy Resources on its recent successful $31m refinancing of corporate debt, via a 3 year facility from Hong Kong based OCP Asia. The complex transaction involved a number of co-ordinated components in Australia, Canada and Argentina, including security for the facility in each jurisdiction at a corporate and project level, the conversion of an existing bridging loan into shares, the buy-back and repayment of historical convertible bonds and satisfaction of related ASX and regulatory requirements.
